Jonathan Aragon joined the ministry team of Duncanville's First Baptist Church in September of 1999, after serving five years as Music Consultant for the Church Music Department of the Baptist General Convention of Texas. His ministry experience spans more than 20 years and includes both music and youth work, as well as service to Hispanic congregations.

Jonathan is a gifted worship leader and teacher, capable of leading many styles and types of music, perfect for our “family” approach to worship. He holds the Master of Music degree in Church Music from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (1994), with an emphasis in Conducting and Music History. He also holds the Bachelor of Music degree in Church Music, with applied conducting and trombone, from Belmont University (1987).

He and wife Katie have a daughter and son. Jonathan enjoys scuba diving — just not often enough.
