Keith Brister has served as Senior Pastor at Duncanville’s First Baptist since 1996. His focus on relational ministries, relevant preaching and community involvement has led the church to grow both in spirit and in number. He previously served as Pastor of First Baptist Huntsville and as Minister to University Students at First Baptist Waco and First Baptist Lubbock.

Keith is a gifted teacher/preacher, using simple, down-to-earth language with humor, transparency and practical application from God's Word. He holds the MRE degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (1982) and a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education from Stephen F. Austin University (1979).

Hailing from Middle Tennessee, Pastor Keith met his wife, Vicki, after moving to Texas. They have a son and daughter, both graduates of Texas Tech University. Chris is a student at Truett Seminary in Waco, and Katie is a school teacher.

Keith enjoys bass fishing, running, cycling, sports, travel and — believe it or not — yard work.
